On May 31st, according to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, in May, the manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) was 49.5%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month, and the prosperity level of the manufacturing industry improved. From the perspective of enterprise size, the PMI of large enterprises was 50.7%, an increase of 1.5 percentage points from the previous month, higher than the critical point; the PMI of medium-sized enterprises was 47.5%, a decrease of 1.3 percentage points from the previous month, lower than the critical point; the PMI of small enterprises was 49.3%, an increase of 0.6 percentage points from the previous month, lower than the critical point. From the perspective of the sub-index, among the five sub-indices that make up the manufacturing PMI, the production index is higher than the critical point, the supplier delivery time index is at the critical point, and the new order index, raw material inventory index and employee index are all lower than the critical point.
