On May 31st, US President Trump said on social media: "The Democrats have inspired and'controlled 'the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), deliberately giving us a very low growth rate, only 1.8% for 10 years. How ridiculous and unpatriotic is that! They did the same thing to us in 2017, but we achieved twice as much growth as their predictions. Their recent message is even more ridiculous and untenable. < b > I predict that our economic growth will be 3, 4, or even 5 times what they intentionally'allocated' to us (1.8%). And, as long as we achieve the minimum expected 3% growth, we can offset our tax cuts (in fact, it won't cost us anything!) "
