25 French suspects are to stand trial for planning a kidnapping case against cryptocurrency entrepreneurs

According to Barrons, French prosecutors announced today (May 30) that 25 suspects will appear in court on suspicion of planning multiple kidnappings against cryptocurrency entrepreneurs. These include the attack on the pregnant daughter and young grandchild of Pierre Noizat, CEO of French cryptocurrency exchange Paymium, in the middle of this month, and another kidnapping attempt that was foiled in Nantes this week. This series of incidents has attracted the attention of the French government. The interior minister has held an emergency meeting with cryptocurrency industry leaders and promised to strengthen security measures to prevent similar crimes against wealthy cryptocurrency entrepreneurs from continuing.
