On May 30, according to the Thai Securities and Exchange Commission, Bybit, 1000X, CoinEx, OKX and XT.COM five unlicensed cryptocurrency trading platforms will be banned from June 28, 2025.
The move is said to be based on the Technology Crime Prevention and Combating Act (No. 2), which came into effect on April 13, 2025, and aims to protect the rights and interests of investors and prevent illegal platforms from being used as money laundering channels. The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society of Thailand will be responsible for enforcing the relevant ban measures. The Thai Securities Supervision Commission reminded investors who hold assets on the above platforms to properly dispose of their assets before the platform is banned.
