According to a poll conducted by crypto conglomerate DCG in conjunction with Harris, the vast majority of the 2,036 Americans surveyed "believe that decentralized AI is more likely to support innovation and progress than centralized AI". Julie Stitzel, senior vice president of policy at DCG, said that "three-quarters of Americans believe that the transformative power of AI will benefit more people if it is not concentrated in the hands of a few large companies". The poll also revealed that 88% of respondents believe that "if AI is using their personal information and data, they should have more control", 67% believe that "centralized AI is more biased", and 59% say AI should be a "public good" that should be "open to the public and should not be heavily regulated". DCG has established a deep presence in the decentralized AI field through its subsidiary Yuma.
