On May 30th, the Uniswap Foundation announced a grant to the development team of ChainHopper, a cross-chain LP migration protocol that will support the one-click migration of Uniswap Liquidity Provider (LP) positions to different EVM chains, and will facilitate the migration of liquidity to Unichain and the upcoming Uniswap v4.
At present, if a user wants to move an LP position from one chain to another, they must go through several tedious steps: remove liquidity, bridge each token across the chain separately, wait for confirmation, and then rebuild the position on the target chain.
To help users manage their LP positions more efficiently, the Uniswap Foundation has awarded Melio a $235,000 grant to develop the ChainHopper protocol, which is now available on the Ethereum mainnet, Unichain, Base, Arbitrum, and Optimism.
