Hong Kong Monetary Authority launches first-ever FiNETech to promote fintech adoption

HKMA launched the FiNETech series, which brings together about 100 banks, securities companies, insurance companies and technology enterprises to explore advanced cooperation arrangements in Fortune Technology, Insurtech, Green Technology, artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technology. In the next six to twelve months, the HKMA will expand its cooperation in the field of fintech through the FiNETech series of activities, including: through the follow-up FiNETech activities, continue to work with co-sponsors, industry associations and market experts to focus on the development of artificial intelligence (including generative artificial intelligence), distributed ledger technology and green technology; and strive for substantive progress in the adoption of fintech by banks and other Financial Institution Groups.
