Dan Bongino, the FBI deputy director turned right-wing podcast, made the announcement on social media, saying he had asked for a weekly update on the progress of the case. Both incidents are hot topics on the American right. Two years ago, a small bag of cocaine was found in a cubicle near the West Wing entrance to the White House, prompting cynicism from Republicans. Trump, who was still the Republican presidential candidate at the time, said the drugs could not have belonged to anyone other than Biden and his son Hunter, even though the Bidens were not in Washington at the time. On May 2, 2022, the draft opinion of the US Supreme Court on "Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization" was made public, showing that "Roe v. Wade" would be overturned and the constitutional right to abortion would be terminated. The leak sparked a rebuke from Trump, who called the leaker "mud" and demanded that the journalists involved be put in jail until they say who the leaker was. Bongino previously claimed, without providing any evidence, that he had been told by a whistleblower that they suspected the relevant evidence of the White House cocaine bag might match a member of Biden's inner circle.
