The three major U.S. stock indexes closed up and down differently. The Dow closed flat, the Nasdaq rose 0.28%, the S & P 500 fell 0.04%, and most large technology stocks rose. Tesla rose nearly 2%, Google rose more than 1%, and Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon, and Meta rose less than 1%. Cryptocurrency and computer hardware sectors led the gains. Quantum rose more than 11%, Coinbase rose 5%, Seagate Technology rose more than 4%, and Canaan Technology rose more than 2%.
