Ripple partner Airwallex announced the completion of a $300 million Series F financing (including a $150 million secondary market share transfer financing) at a valuation of $6.20 billion, with participation from Square Peg, DST Global, Lone Pine Capital, Blackbird, Airtree, Salesforce Ventures and a number of Australian pension funds. As of now, the company has raised a total of 1.20 billion US dollars.
It is reported that Airwallex joined Ripple's enterprise blockchain network RippleNet in 2017 to leverage the power of blockchain to modernize global payments. As part of RippleNet, the company is also adopting commercial blockchain to provide its customers with a unique global payment experience.
