On May 21, the EIA strategic petroleum reserve inventories in the week to May 16 in the United States were the highest since the week of October 21, 2022; gasoline inventories rose the most since the week of January 31, 2025; commercial crude oil inventories excluding strategic reserves were the highest since the week of July 5, 2024.
