Mr. Musk has said he has pledged to become chief executive of Tesla within five years, easing concerns among some investors about his commitment to the carmaker. In a remote appearance at the Qatar Economic Forum in Doha on Tuesday, Mr. Musk spoke about his future at Tesla. He criticised a Delaware Court of Chancery judge who twice invalidated the huge compensation package that Tesla awarded him in 2018, but said he did not believe the issue would affect his decision to stay on. "This compensation should be commensurate with the extraordinary achievements accomplished, but I am confident that whatever decision a Delaware judge makes will not affect future compensation arrangements," Mr. Musk said. Musk also said there is no conflict of interest between the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE) and its business.
