Hamas officials say no progress has been made in ceasefire talks

A senior official of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), speaking on condition of anonymity, said there had been no progress in ceasefire talks in Qatar. The official said Israel was insisting on a partial agreement to release some of the detainees, but was not committed to ending the war. Hamas, on the other hand, believes that it will only release the remaining Israeli detainees if more Palestinian prisoners are released, a lasting ceasefire and Israeli troops withdraw from the Gaza Strip.
