Candriam analyst Nicolas Jullien said in a note that the euro appears set to strengthen further against the dollar as U.S. tariffs will have a clear negative impact on U.S. economic growth. "While the potential impact on inflation is harder to measure, the damage to demand is likely to be greater than the direct impact of higher prices." He said the end of U.S. exceptionalism and a loss of confidence in U.S. assets should benefit the euro as well as Germany's infrastructure and defense spending plans. (Kim X)
