On May 18, news from the National Space Administration, on May 18, the Tianwen-2 probe of the planetary exploration project was successfully transferred to the launch area after completing the general assembly, testing, and refueling of the technical area as planned at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center. The follow-up will carry out various functional inspections, joint tests, and other work as planned. It is planned to launch at the end of May. The Tianwen-2 mission will carry out a number of tasks such as the accompanying flight, sampling, and return of asteroid 2016HO3 and the accompanying flight detection of the main belt comet 311P through one launch. Previously, the Long March-3 Yiyao-110 carrier rocket that carried out the Tianwen-2 launch mission was successfully transferred from the technical area to the launch area on May 14, and completed the lifting and docking work.
