In response to the US Southern District Court of New York's rejection of Ripple and the SEC's settlement motion on the grounds of procedural impropriety, Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty said that this judgment order will not change the outcome of Ripple's final victory (that is, XRP is not a security, etc.), Ripple and the SEC fully agree to resolve the case and will revisit the litigation with the court.
According to crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett, there is still a turning point in the case. Although Judge Analisa Torres rejected the settlement motion, there is still a chance of settlement as long as Ripple and the SEC can meet the legal standards and present a convincing case that it is in the best interests of the public and XRP institutional buyers.
