The Singapore High Court ruled in favor of Sonic Labs' motion to force the Multichain Foundation to liquidate in order to recover funds stolen during the 2023 hack.
Michael Kong, chief executive of Sonic Labs, said in a statement on X on May 14 that the team behind Sonic felt it had no choice but to file a lawsuit to force the closure of Multichain because its former employees were "completely uncooperative".
