The U.S. Senate is scheduled to pass the National Innovation Stablecoin Guidance and Establishment Act (GENIUSAct) as early as May 26, which aims to establish a federal regulatory framework for stablecoins. Previously, Democrats blocked the bill on May 8 due to concerns that it could benefit former President Donald Trump and his family from crypto projects. To reach a consensus, the relevant provisions for the Trump family have been removed from the bill.
