OpenAI opens GPT-4.1 model to ChatGPT users

On the early morning of May 15, Beijing time, the US Open Artificial Intelligence Research Center (OpenAI) announced that GPT-4.1 will be available directly in ChatGPT from now on, at the request of the general public. GPT-4.1 is a dedicated model that specializes in coding tasks and instruction following. Plus, Pro and Team users will be able to access GPT-4.1 through the "More Models" drop-down menu in the model selector. Enterprise and Education users will get access in the coming weeks. OpenAI will also launch GPT-4.1 mini to replace the existing GPT-4o mini, which will be available to all users in ChatGPT. (Jin Ten)
