Cantor Fitzgerald claims to personally check Tether reserves, refuting rumors

At the Consensus 2025 conference in Toronto, Brandon Lutnick, chairperson of Cantor Fitzgerald, said: "I personally checked a lot of their reserves and we proved a lot of rumours wrong." He said there had been "a lot of rumours" in the early days of the partnership that Tether was not fully stocked. Lutnick stressed that while Bloomberg had reported that he had interned for Tether in Lugano, Switzerland, he clarified: "That's not true."
