Interest rates on new loans issued by businesses were at a historic low in April

On May 14, the People's Bank of China released data showing that in April, the weighted average interest rate of new loans issued by enterprises was about 3.2%, about 50 basis points lower than the same period last year. The weighted average interest rate of new loans issued by individual housing was about 3.1%, about 55 basis points lower than the same period last year, all at historical lows.
