According to Decrypt, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong issued an "open recruitment invitation" to former "Department of Government Effectiveness" (DOGE) employees on social platforms, offering an accelerated hiring path. The move originated from a popular FOX news interview clip in which former DOGE member and Harvard dropout student Ethan Shaotran talked about social exclusion due to his tenure at the agency.
Armstrong said he welcomed these tech talents who have served the country "to join Coinbase next to build a more efficient financial system". The agency was founded by the Trump administration to cut spending and drive efficiency in government operations, and Elon Musk also participated in the leadership.
