Agency: Trump's trade war is not over yet

Nabil Milali of Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management said it was too early to declare an end to the global trade war. President Donald Trump announced a 90-day reprieve on top US tariffs on Chinese imports, but that was only temporary. Talks with China and other trading partners are continuing, and the eventual result could be tariffs averaging 15 per cent on imports. That outcome, which was seen as a worst-case scenario during the election campaign, now appears to be much milder than the worse-case scenarios investors feared the other day.
