Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has proposed a new data availability solution that aims to address the ongoing fragmentation and lack of interoperability of blockchain networks.
In an article on X on May 12, Yakovenko proposed a "meta-blockchain" that aggregates and sorts data published on multiple Layer 1 chains, including Ethereum, Celestia and Solana. "This would actually allow meta-chains to use the cheapest DA quotes available today," Yakovenko said.
