Trader Bonk Guy said in a post on the X platform that although there are voices in the community criticizing Pump.fun for exacerbating the proliferation of Meme coins, he has been publicly and privately defending the platform, arguing that it promotes competition and innovation, which is good for the crypto ecosystem in the long run.
That is why, he says, the lead developer of Pump.fun block LetsBONK.fun and Raydium contributors who support the platform came as a surprise. He points out that it is "an ironic move" for the Pump.fun itself to block the first competitive Meme launch platform by fuelling the explosive growth of Meme. Bonk Guy stresses: "Really good ideas and execution will win, whether there are ten or a billion Meme projects in the market."
