On May 12, according to official news, on May 9, the Lao National Digital Technology Group (LADT) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Lao Ministry of Science and Technology, planning to jointly build a national blockchain mainnet and promote the compliance of the ASEAN stablecoin USDA.
According to the agreement, LADT has been granted the right to lead the development and issuance of various digital assets in Laos, demonstrating the Lao government's open attitude in the Web3 field. As an execution platform, LADT's third-party payment platform NewPay will undertake the accelerated implementation of USDA and related blockchain ecosystems to help the development of ASEAN's digital economy.
