On May 12th, the exchange rate of RMB against the US dollar in the interbank foreign exchange market rose sharply. Wind data shows that as of 9:34, the onshore exchange rate of RMB against the US dollar was 7.2289 yuan, an increase of 172 basis points from the previous closing price, and the offshore exchange rate of RMB against the US dollar was 7.2271 yuan, an increase of 132 basis points from the previous closing price. According to data from China Money Network, on May 12th, the central parity of RMB against the US dollar was 7.2066, an increase of 29 basis points from the previous trading day.
