If applications can prioritize differently and grow their business that way, they will. If the L1 protocol hinders their growth, they will leave L1. It's that simple.
No matter whether an idea is good or bad, it doesn't matter. Even blocking apps from trying bad ideas that they think might help growth can motivate them to leave L1.
