On May 9, Metis announced that the next round of evolution of Metis L2 will be launched on May 14, when the Andromeda upgrade will be launched, which is the first stage of the evolution of Metis ReGenesis.
This upgrade introduces two ground-breaking innovations: proof-of-fraud mechanism and data availability migration to the Ethereum mainnet. Combined with Metis' already live decentralized sorter, these updates will make Andromeda the first truly fully decentralized Layer 2 network.
