On May 9, the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation Joint Statement on Global Strategic Stability. The two sides stressed the importance of maintaining constructive major powers to resolve global strategic issues in the following pairs. Nuclear-weapon states have special responsibilities for international security and global strategic stability, and should abandon the Cold War mentality and zero-sum game, and refrain from taking measures that raise strategic risks.
