In the wake of Trump's announcement of a trade deal with Britain, U.S. Commerce Secretary Lutnik said boosting market access for U.S. exporters would bring in billions of dollars in revenue. "They agreed to open up their markets, which would increase the opportunity for U.S. exporters by $5 billion," Lutnik said in the Oval Office. "We still have a 10 percent tariff, which would bring in $6 billion in revenue for the U.S." Lutnik said. Lutnik said the deal would not put pressure on the U.K. economy and British workers would not be negatively affected by the deal. He added that the deal means the U.K. can export 100,000 cars to the U.S. "with only a 10 percent tariff".
