More than 1.20 million SPL tokens were added to the Solana chain in April 2025, with an average of 30,000 to 55,000 tokens added per day. The analysis found that this growth was mainly driven by Meme coins, many of which were issued through Pump.fun platforms. VanEck data shows that Meme coins accounted for about 44% of DEX transactions on the Solana chain in January, and rose slightly to 45% in April, still dominating transactions.
