Central Bank Governor Pan Gongsheng talks about the main connotation of moderately loose monetary policy

On May 7th, Pan Gongsheng, Governor of the People's Bank of China, said at a press conference of the State Council's new office on the 7th that there are several aspects to a moderately loose monetary policy. First, there is abundant liquidity, loose social financing conditions, the scale of social financing reaches 1.0913 trillion, the broad money supply (M2) is 104.2039 trillion, and the cost of comprehensive social financing is low. Secondly, policy implementation needs to be based on changes in the situation, comprehensively evaluate the domestic and foreign economic and financial situation and the operation of financial marekt, and use a variety of monetary policy tools to adjust. Finally, the orientation of monetary policy is supportive, and the total amount of monetary policy is relatively loose.
