On May 7th, according to Bloomberg, as Trump's second-term pardon cases have surged, including FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried, Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), and early Bitcoin evangelist Roger Ver, among others, are actively seeking White House pardons. Some have sought opportunities through donations, social media campaigns, and lawyer fees of up to millions of dollars. According to reports, Roger Ver has hired lawyers and lobbyists close to Trump, and Sam Bankman-Fried's family has also hired lawyers from Republican circles to submit pardon applications. Trump has pardoned or commuted 1,600 people, more than the total number of people in his first term.
