Hamas: willing to reach a five-year ceasefire agreement with Israel

On the evening of May 3, local time, a senior Hamas official, Abdul Rahman Shadid, issued a statement saying that in the past few weeks, on the basis of the consensus reached between Hamas and various mediators, Hamas has been committed to reaching a comprehensive agreement including Israel's complete cessation of aggression against Gaza, ending the blockade of Gaza, and realizing the exchange of personnel between the two sides. Hamas is willing to reach a five-year long-term ceasefire agreement with Israel under the guarantee of the international community and regional countries, and agreed to establish an independent committee to be responsible for the governance of the Gaza Strip.
