Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has launched a cryptocurrency derivatives trading service in the UK, its second largest market. The product is only open to "professional clients" as defined by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
Alexia Theodorou, head of derivatives at Kraken, said the company had launched the service "quietly" in recent weeks, adding: "As a new product, we rolled it out gradually, making sure to reach specific customers first. Now, the service is open to 100% of customers who need to go through a specific derivatives onboarding process."
