According to Bloomberg, Varun Kao, a former quantitative analyst at Bridgewater Associates, recently joined San Francisco-based crypto asset management firm Bitwise Asset Management Inc. as a quantitative developer in New York.
According to his LinkedIn page, Bitwise has also hired Charles McLellan from Bank of New York Mellon as an assistant portfolio manager, and Claudia Beranzoli, who previously worked at Amundi, as an assistant legal advisor.
Overall, Bitwise recently hired eight new positions in the United States and two in Europe, expanding its total workforce to 105.
