According to Bloomberg ETF analyst Henry Jim, BlackRock has applied for DLT Shares, a digital share class, for its $150 billion money market fund. The DLT shares will be sold exclusively through BNY Mellon, which intends to use blockchain technology to mirror ownership, which could be a precursor to the future use of digital currency/cash.
