"It's time to move forward with digital asset policy," said Patrick McHenry, a former congressman who predicts "this will be a hot summer of crypto legislation", with lawmakers rushing to get bills to President Donald Trump's desk by August. "Leaders on Capitol Hill and in the White House want to legislate digital assets," Mr. McHenry noted. According to Politico, Senate Majority Leader John Thune has privately informed Republicans that the Senate plans to vote on stablecoin legislation as soon as possible.
