European digital bank Bunq launches cryptocurrency service

European digital bank Bunq announced the launch of Bunq Crypto on April 29, allowing users to invest in more than 300 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana. The service will initially go live in the Netherlands, France, Spain, Ireland, Italy and Belgium, with technical support from Kraken. "Our global users have long expected a simple, secure and straightforward way to invest in digital assets," Bunq said. Bunq's research noted that "around 65% of European consumers want to manage banking, savings and cryptocurrency investments through a unified platform," and more than 50% of respondents want exposure to cryptocurrencies, but feel that existing platforms struggle to meet their needs in terms of simplicity and security.
