The number of small business contractors receiving notices of job cancellations has surged to a record level this year as the Trump administration implements a "cut and consolidate" programme. More than 1,800 small business contractors have received "facilitative termination" notices from private agencies since Mr. Trump was sworn in as US president on January 20, more than the average number in previous years, and on April 30, Mr. Trump's second term exceeded 100 days.
