Musk's poll approval rating is lower than Trump's, and federal cuts are highly controversial

A poll released on Friday found that 35 percent approve of Mr. Musk's stewardship of the Department of Government Effectiveness (DOGE), while 57 percent disapprove, up from 49 percent who had a negative view of Mr. Musk in February. The share of people who approve of Mr. Musk's work has not changed much, from 34 percent two months ago. However, the poll found that Mr. Musk's popularity remains lower than that of Mr. Trump, who was approved by 39 percent and disapproved by 55 percent in the survey.
