Coinbase says that since integrating the Lightning Network in April 2024, 15% of Bitcoin transactions have been completed through the network. Michael Rihani, Director of Product at Coinbase, said: "Integrating the Lightning Network is a key milestone in supporting the Bitcoin ecosystem, making payments faster, cheaper and more practical. In less than a year, 15% of Bitcoin transactions have adopted the Lightning Network, proving its practical utility in reality." The Lightning Network provides a more efficient infrastructure for global payments, and Coinbase also plans to launch the "Coinbase Bitcoin Earnings Fund" on May 1, with a targeted annualized return of 4% to 8%. In addition, Coinbase continues to expand its earnings appreciation opportunities for BTC holders.
