According to a report by Chainalysis, President Trump and his allies earned nearly $900,000 in transaction fees from the president's TRUMP cryptocurrency tokens in the last two days.
Previously, the token announced on Wednesday that it would have dinner with the president to encourage the first 220 holders to participate. Critics saw the dinner contest as an unusually obvious attempt to monetize the president's dining opportunity.
Notably, since its launch in January, the trading activity has generated about $324.50 million in transaction fees for insiders. These fees are generated through the token's built-in mechanism, which transfers a percentage of each transaction to wallets controlled by the project - which, according to Chainalysis, are linked to the token's creator.
