US stocks closed: Nasdaq rose 1.26%, Tesla rose 9.8%

U.S. stocks closed Friday with the Dow initially up 0.05 percent, the S & P 500 up 0.74 percent and the Nasdaq up 1.26 percent. Tesla (TSLA. O) rose 9.8 percent and Nvidia (NVDA. O) rose 4.3 percent. The Nasdaq China Gold Dragon closed down 0.4 percent, NIO (NIO. N) fell 3.77 percent and XPeng Motors (XPEV. N) fell 3.5 percent.
