Lawyer refutes: CZ should be sentenced to probation, not imprisonment

Lawyers for CZ, the founder of Binance, countered in a filing this afternoon that CZ should be given a suspended sentence, not jail time. Previously, Department of Justice lawyers said in a sentencing memo filed late Tuesday that CZ should be sentenced to 36 months in prison and pay a $50 million fine after pleading guilty to violating the Bank Secrecy Act last November.
