Trump: Russia-Ukraine peace plan to be announced within three days

According to the New York Post, President Trump announced on Monday that he would release details of a peace plan for the war in Ukraine in the next three days. The plan could include the deployment of European forces as a "resilience force" after a ceasefire is reached, as well as the possible recognition of Crimea as Russian territory. Ukraine's defense minister has denied claims of "90% agreement" with the US, while Russian President Vladimir Putin said a decision would need to be made after "analyzing and evaluating" the results of the short-lived ceasefire announced last weekend. The US envoy will present a "last best option" to the Russian side this week, which could include a reduction in sanctions.
