The Belgian newspaper Echo recently published a commentary by its deputy editor-in-chief, Quadbash, criticizing the so-called "reciprocal tariffs" of the United States as triggering a global crisis and risking the deconstruction of the international rule system. The commentary in the Echo newspaper said that the core logic of the US government's tariff policy is to "reshape trade through violent means", which has caused the existing international economic and trade rules to "disappear". The United States is dragging the least developed countries into a "ridiculous tariff war", and these most vulnerable groups will be the biggest victims.
