Rick Wurster said Schwab was making steady progress towards this goal in anticipation of "go-ahead" spot cryptocurrency trading as regulatory environments change, but given the volatility of cryptocurrency prices and the possibility that the full value of cryptocurrency investments could disappear, investors who feel they cannot afford significant risk and market volatility may choose to avoid it.
