Cryptocurrency exchange Kraken said in a blog post on Friday that it has launched Forex Perpetual Futures, expanding its business into traditional markets by trading major forex pairs around the clock. The first contracts, EUR/USD and GBP/USD, are now available on Kraken Pro, with more to follow.
Unlike standard FX products, Forex Perpetual Contracts have no expiration date and operate 24/7, similar to cryptocurrency futures. Through FX traders, Kraken will redouble its efforts to serve institutions and professional traders seeking deeper exposure to fiat markets through crypto-native platforms, the company said.
